Google Business Profile for Window Cleaners: The 2026 Setup
It's free, it sits above every website in the results, and most window cleaners fill in about a third of it. Here's the full setup.

For a window cleaner, a fully completed Google Business Profile is usually the single highest-return hour of marketing available. It decides whether you appear in the map pack when someone searches 'window cleaner near me' — and that search has the highest buying intent of any traffic you will ever get.
Categories
- Primary category: Window cleaning service — exact match, nothing creative.
- Secondary: gutter cleaning service, pressure washing service, cleaning service — only for work you genuinely do.
- Wrong primary category is the most common reason a complete profile still doesn't rank.
Service area, not a shopfront
Most cleaners work from home. Hide the address and list service areas instead — towns and postcode districts you actually cover. Listing 40 towns you'd drive to in theory dilutes relevance; list the 5–12 you work weekly.
Services and prices
Add every service as its own entry with a short description and a 'from' price. These entries are indexed, they answer the customer's first question, and they filter out people looking for £8 cleans.
Upload 10+ real photos a month: van, uniform, before-and-afters, poles at work, a smiling handover. Stock imagery is obvious and converts worse than a slightly imperfect real photo.
Reviews: the compounding asset
- Ask by text within 30 minutes of payment, with a direct review link.
- Aim for two new reviews a week, forever — consistency outranks a burst.
- Reply to every review, including the bad one, calmly and factually.
- Encourage customers to mention the town and service in their own words.
Posts, Q&A and messaging
- Post weekly — a photo and two sentences is enough to keep the profile active.
- Seed 5 real questions in Q&A and answer them yourself: prices, frequency, payment, insurance, access.
- Turn messaging on only if you can reply fast; slow replies are visible to Google and to customers.
Send the traffic somewhere that converts
A perfect profile pointing at a contact form wastes the click. Point the website button at a page where the visitor can get a real price in under a minute — with instant quoting, high-intent map traffic turns into booked jobs instead of missed calls.
Put what you just read to work while you're out cleaning.
You came here to get better at the trade. Squeegify turns that knowledge into a quote form on your own website — so visitors price themselves, book a slot, and drop into your inbox while you're on the ladder. No more lost enquiries because you couldn't answer the phone.
