Facebook Ads for Window Cleaners: What Actually Works in 2026

Most window cleaners lose money on Facebook ads for the same three reasons. Fix those and £10 a day fills a round.

Facebook and Instagram ads work for window cleaners when three things are true: a tight postcode radius, a real video of you working, and a destination where the viewer can get a price immediately. Get any of those wrong and you'll pay for likes instead of customers.

Targeting: small is the point

  • Radius of 3–8 miles around the streets you already clean, not the whole county.
  • Age 30+, homeowners where the option exists — renters rarely book regular cleans.
  • Exclude nothing else. Meta's delivery is better than manual interest stacking for local services.
  • One ad set per town if you cover several, so you can see which pays.

Creative: film the work

The best-performing creative in this trade is 15–30 seconds of vertical phone video: pole going up, dirty pane becoming clean, your face and van at the end. Captions on, no music you don't own, no stock footage. It looks local because it is.

The offer that converts

Not 'free quote' — everyone says that. Try 'See your price in 60 seconds, no phone call'. It matches what homeowners actually want and sets the expectation your website can deliver.

Budget and patience

  1. Start at £8–£15 a day per van and leave it running for at least 14 days.
  2. Don't edit the ad daily — every change restarts learning.
  3. Judge on cost per booked round, not cost per click or per lead.
  4. Once a winner emerges, scale the budget 20% at a time.

Where the money leaks

  • Sending traffic to a phone number you can't answer while working.
  • Sending traffic to a contact form, which typically converts a fraction of visitors.
  • Boosting posts instead of running a proper campaign with conversion tracking.
  • No follow-up on the leads you already paid for — most bookings come from the second contact.

Measure the right thing

Install the Pixel, track the quote completion as a conversion, and record where every booked job came from. Once you know your cost per booked round, ads stop being a gamble and become a tap you turn.

Make the landing page do the selling

Ad clicks are expensive and impatient. With instant quoting on your own site, the visitor picks their property, sees a real price built from your rules, and leaves their details — no callback, no lost lead, no wasted spend.

You came here to get better at the trade. Squeegify turns that knowledge into a quote form on your own website — so visitors price themselves, book a slot, and drop into your inbox while you're on the ladder. No more lost enquiries because you couldn't answer the phone.
