What the calculator actually does
A normal “quote calculator” is a slider you have to interpret. Ours runs your real pricing rules over the real property facts for the address the customer just typed in. The output is a single £ figure they can accept on the spot.
- Real-address inputs · Customer types a UK address. We pull OS Places + EPC + satellite + street-view in parallel, propose a window count from the imagery, and ask the customer to confirm before the price is locked.

How does the calculator know how many windows a house has?
We pull Google satellite + street-view imagery for the address and propose a count from it. The widget always lets the customer edit the number before the price is locked.
Can I trust the proposed count for pricing?
The customer-confirmed count is what we charge against, not the proposed guess. The Quote Guarantee underwrites a ±2-window tolerance for honest mistakes.
What if my pricing is complicated (per-floor, conservatories, bay windows)?
The pricing DSL handles per-floor uplifts, glazing surcharges, add-ons, exclusions, and access surcharges. Operator-editable at /dashboard/settings with a live preview.
Does the calculator work on WordPress / Wix / Squarespace?
Yes, every UK site builder that allows custom HTML embed. One line of script. Install guides at /install.
Is there an API?
Yes, on the Fleet plan. Solo / Growth / Scale use the embeddable widget.
What happens if a property is outside my service area?
Operator-configurable · either decline politely with a captured lead, or quote anyway. Defaults to ‘polite decline + saved lead’ so you can call back.
How accurate is the proposed estimate today?
Median absolute error sits at ~2 windows on terraced/semi-detached UK stock. Detached and unusual builds vary. Either way the customer-confirmed number is what gets billed, not the proposal.
